is a brass-septet founded in 1980 to continue the operation of the Helsinki Postmen's marching band. The Finnish brass-septet is an old, traditional assembly, the composition of an Eb-cornet, two Bb-cornets, an alto horn, a tenor horn, a euphonium and a tuba. Assembly was established during the reign of the Emperor Alexander the Third of Russia, when Finland was autonomius part of Russia. The brass-septet as an assembly is extremely versatile, as its repertoire has naturally included opera overtures as well as lighter pop-tunes. The Sinetti-Seitsikko, for its part, upholds the esteemed traditions of septet-playing. Our repertoire is varied, and it includes content suited from weddings to funerals as well as meeting specific wishes while also being well suited for the requirements of companies. |
